Informative and focused class August 13, 2022 Reviewer: Morgan Leake from Agency, MO United States   Gunner conducts a very organized and concise class, considering the amount of information that has to be covered.  He presents it in a straightforward manner, and makes good use of handouts and props. Range was professionally and safely run, but be advised it is open air, so bring rain gear if the weather looks iffy. Also, lunch is a half-hour break, so while it is theoretically possible to make a McDonald’s / Wendy’s / Bojangles run, it is probably a better idea to pack a lunch. Was this review helpful to you?

Worth your time! March 19, 2022 Reviewer: Alyssa Lewis from Mill Spring, NC   Instructor Joe presented the classroom and gun range material with an obvious wealth of knowledge. I’ve previously taken a Concealed Carry Handgun course in another county and Joes *blew the other instructor out of the water*! The information was expertly presented, organized and TAUGHT. His air of confidence relaxed every student he had, which allowed for open questions and conversation. The safety and responsibility we have as gun owners was made clear and he executed his expectations clearly and concisely. 10/10 would recommend this course and I’m welcoming the opportunity to take more courses with him to become better myself. One of the best CC courses/training March 3, 2022 Reviewer: Erik D. from Tryon, NC United States   Mr. Poe ran the class for the NC CC handgun course. I've sat in other CC courses in another state and those did not compare to Joe's. The information here was very valuable, clearly presented, and a lot of attention was given to participants' questions. Joe did a great job sharing critical information and he ensured everyone was comfortable in the class and safe on the range. I highly recommend his class to anyone that is considering getting their CC permit, or anyone that is looking to become more familiar with NC law and handgun safety. Was this review helpful to you?

Phenomenal class!!!!!!!!! February 17, 2022 Reviewer: Noah Jackson from Tryon, NC United States   Mr. Poe (Gunner) was beyond helpful. His attitude reminded me of a friend (scarily so) who was my teacher at my previous college.  His cheerful, yet playful attitude allows the members in the course to relax and focus with utmost clarity on the subject matter. He spoke with such passion on all topics discussed; so much so that you could feel he wasn't just doing this for the money but with absolute purpose to give the participants the information to be informed and to become knowledgeable concerning firearms and concealed carry laws. His helper (I sorrowfully forgot his name) was very courteous; especially to the ones who needed extra assistance! The one squabble I would raise would be the guest speaker who was brought in to talk about an individuals potential liability concerns when using self-defense. My bridle was almost sundered, but I decided publicly contesting an elderly man would be immodest.  (I had to delete apostrophes and a lot of the review as I went far over the limits).
